The Lancashire and Cheshire Photographic Union hold an annual competition in March for their 90+ member clubs. The competition is held over two days, projected images one day and prints the other. Oldham PS entered the projected image section. This requires 16 images in the Open section and 8 in Nature.
The images we used were taken from the internal competitions and the General Competition Bank, where members can upload their own choice of image.
We were placed 4th in the Open Section, 7th in the Nature Section and overall 5th in the federation.
Well done to Eddie for his first score of 15 (full marks from each of three judges) for his image “Alice”. Congratulations to all entrants and to everyone in the society, who have all enabled us to achieve this excellent result by contributing at appraisals and by providing competition images to drive our standards up…this is how we aim to do even better next year…by helping each other.
