Evolve Group are a talented group of photographers who meet near Wigan. They had never had a battle one-on-one before, so it was great that they agreed to take on Oldham PS. We judged them to be strong opponents and with two fairly evenly matched clubs, the outcome was uncertain. Enter the judge – Steve Proctor from Chorley PS – and again we managed to challenge the judge, with 50 very strong images, 25 from each club.
The evening was enjoyed by all; we loved having a good contingent of members from Evolve with us and the final scores were very close, with Oldham PS coming through as winners, just at the end, with more of the highest scores. The top three images are shown below, all from Oldham PS members and the judge’s favourite shot was “Eyes on Dinner” by Sean Rooney.
We look forward to a return match next year.
